District level Net Ball Tournament
On 8th and 9th September, 2017 Little Flower School participated in the District level Net Ball Tournament held at Agashi High School, Akole. Different school teams from all over A. Nagar District had participated with great team spirit. Our students played this game for the first time. Our under 14 boys and girls and under 17 boys showed their good coordination and tried to prove the best. It was a good experience for them.
District level Basket Ball Tournament
The students of Little Flower School participated in the District level Basket Ball Tournament held at Athare Patil School Ahmednagar on 15th and 16th September 2017. Students of LFS played with great energy and tried to give their best. Under 14 girls’ team performed very well and reached the final. This team added a feather in the cap of LFS. It was really fine experience for the participants of both the under 14 boys and girls and under 17 boys’ teams of the school.
District level Roller Skating Tournament
On 15th and 16th September, 2017 Little Flower School participated in the District level Roller Skating Tournament held at Takshila Public School Ahmednagar. The participants from Little Flower School gave outstanding performance. The students like Mast. Amol Ghorpade, class VIII, under 14 age group and under 17 age group Mast. Abhiraj Jondhale, Mast.Ashish Fargade & Mast. Sudhanshu Ghorpade (from class X) fetched victory at the District Level and got selected for the state level skating tournament.
District level Taekwondo Tournament
On 14Th and 15Th September 2017 Little Flower School participated in the District Level Taekwondo Tournament held at Pathardi , Ahmednagar. Our participants under 14 boys displayed great zeal and true spirit of sportsmanship. Mast. Yash shelke from class X achieved Bronze Medal in the under 27 to 29 kg category.
CBSE Cluster Kabaddi Tournament 2017
This year the students of LFS under 17 age group from IX participated in the CBSE Cluster Kabaddi Tournament 2017 held at Pachora, Jalgaon on 22th to 23th September 2017. The participants played with full zeal.
Chess Association State Level Tournament
Master Ruturaj Kharde of LFS from class VII participated in the Chess Association State Level Tournament held at Solapur on 22nd September 2017. He showed his talent and great skills. His sincere attempts helped him to add a feather in the cap of LFS by winning silver medal. The school is proud of his achievement and selection for the National level Chess Championship.
MONTH END ACTIVITIES
Pre-primary Section : Greeting Card Making ‘Greeting Card Making’ activity was conducted for pre-primary section on 29th Sept 2017 The In charge teacher distributed A4 size papers during the activity and told them to draw Diya and write ‘Happy Diwali ’which was written on the board itself. The tiny tots participated with great interest and drew beautiful They filled in attractive colours. The teachers collected their greeting cards and inserted them in envelopes to post on their addresses. This activity helped the students to develop their creative, thinking and imaginative skills. This was very interesting and learning experience for the students.
Class I Book Mark Activity
On 30th Sept. 2017 students of 1 Daisy and Rose participated in ‘Book Mark Making Activity’ and made innovative, and splendid bookmarks. The students used materials like cardboard, paper, paints, glitter, satin ribbons, laces and beads to enhance the beauty of the bookmarks. It helped the students to explore and learn the ancient traditional tribal art of India. The students then wrote inspirational quotes on the bookmarks to make them more interesting and also to capture the reader’s imagination. The students enjoyed making the bookmarks as it was an opportunity for them to display their talent and creativity.
Class II Lantern Making Activity
To mark the occasion of Diwali and enhance the artistic skills and innovative ideas of the students, on 30thSept. 2017 the school conducted ‘Lantern Making Activity’ for class II Rose and Daisy with great interest. As guided by the Incharge teachers, the students had collected the required material like gum, colour paper , scissor, markers, stickers, cut out of designs, colourful lace etc. Using their innovative ideas and creative skills they prepared beautiful lanterns of different sizes and shapes. The lanterns of Shreyans Bora and Aarav Kharde were outstanding. This activity helped the students to develop their creative thinking and artistic Skills. The performances of the students were judged on the basis of the criteria as decoration, creativity, material used, and overall presentation.
Class III Greeting Card Making’
To create an awareness among the students about their creative and artistic sense ‘Greeting Card Making’ activity was conducted for class III Daisy and Rose. The students brought required material with them and prepared very beautiful greeting cards using their innovative ideas. They wrote beautiful messages regarding eco-friendly Diwali as ‘No Pollution is the best solution, Don’t burn fire crackers, Save environment’ etc. They showed great enthusiasm in the activity and felt proud about their creations which were judged on the basis of the criteria as decoration, material used , innovative ideas and overall presentation.
