Month End Activities – November 2014
The students of Sr. KG and Jr KG went on a nature trail to the nearby hill as their month end activity on Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th November 2014 respectively. The excitement of the students was quiet evident from their curiosity about various aspects of nature. The children followed the trail under the guidance of their teachers and observed the diversity and serenity of nature. Later on the students shared their experiences and observations with theirs peers and teachers.

Month End Activity Report

Date : 28th November, 2014
Students of Std. I participated in the Balgeet activity as part of the month end activity. The topics had a been given a week prior. The balgeet were to be sung in Marathi or Hindi language. Children came up with interesting action songs and belted heartfelt renditions of Hindi and Marathi songs. A few children had also brought props with them. Students participated with great interest and the entire activity was full of enthusiasm and energy. This activity gave them a platform to come out and perform and also build up their confidence level.
Month end activity report for Std. II
“Words speak volumes” Indeed words are the best medium to express your thoughts.
The students of Std. II had “Just a Minute” (JAM) as a month end activity for the month of November. The activity was conducted in the 3rd and 4th period in respective classrooms. All the students participated in the activity with great enthusiasm and spoke about different topics randomly chosen from a lucky dip. There were about forty topics to choose from- ‘My mother’, ‘A friend’, ‘The day I forgot to wear my shoes to the school’, ’My first trip in an aeroplane’, ‘My classroom’, ‘Our school playground’, My favourite- ice-cream, flower, cartoon character’ etc.
The children spoke really well and also enjoyed some of the funny narrations and imagination of their friends when they spoke about their funny dream, the day I came to school without my shoes etc. It was a good activity where everyone got a chance to express themselves, come and speak in front of their peers.

Just A Minute (J-A-M)
The Month-end Activity for November was Just A Minute (J-A-M). It was an event for all. The objective of J-A-M was to encourage students to think on their feet.
Each student had to speak for a minute on a topic that was given by the teacher on the day of the activity. The students were given adequate preparation time.
All were eloquent and imaginative in their ideas. They spoke on varied topics such as, ‘A Trip to the Zoo’, ‘My Best Friend’, ‘A Day Without Television’, etc.
This was an excellent activity wherein the students got an opportunity to step ahead and speak their minds out. The students enjoyed this activity and applauded for their classmates.
REPORT ON MONTH END ACTIVITY- NUTRITIOUS SNACK:
Preparation of Nutritious Snack was the Month End Activity for STD IV for the month of November .All the students participated enthusiastically. The students were instructed to carry the required ingredients from home. All of them prepared a nutritious snack in the class with interest and enthusiasm in a systematic and hygienic manner. They also shared their delicious snacks with their friends and felt proud about it.
Month end Activity report for the month of November of class V- A,B,C,D
• Name of the activity – Flower Rangoli
• Venue – Respective class rooms
• Time – 5th & 6th period
The students were asked to bring the flower petals, colours, glitters, glue, decoration material etc. from home. On an A3 size chart paper the children drew their design and then creatively stuck the petals of different colours on their rangoli designs. They took interest in drawing symmetrical shapes as well as in free hand designs. All the students participated very enthusiastically and displayed their talent.

Month end Activity Report – 28th Nov 2014
Std 6 – A,B,C,D – had their Nov 2014 month end activity as Pot Decoration/Clay modeling. Students were free to choose between the two options. They had brought medium-sized handy pots and used fevicryl colours on them. Later they stuck decorative material to make the pots look attractive.
Some students chose Clay modeling and made lovely models from the clay. They transformed the clay into fruits and vegetables, different animals, wrist bands, attractive robots with artillery, etc. Each model was remarkably made.
Students enjoyed the activity and were engrossed in it for two periods. Few pictures clicked reveal the students’ art on display.
Making greeting cards from waste material
This month end activity for Std. VII was making greeting cards from waste material. The activity was conducted in their respective class rooms with the class teachers. They made beautiful cards and enjoyed the activity.
Std IX – XII
Activity : Inter house Debate
The month end activity for the classes ix to xii was the finals of the inter-house debate. It was between the Sapphire and Ruby House. The topic for the same was ‘ Is privatization of Education justified’? The sapphire House was for the motion, however, the Ruby House was against the motion. The judges for the debate were prof. Atul patil and Mr. Venkatnaryanan. Prof. Patil is associated with COEP as an assistant Professor in English and Mr Venkatnarayanan is retired Engineer. Both the houses spoke well but finally it was the sapphire house that stole the show and emerged as winners. The best speaker was Gauri from the Ruby house. They judges finally shared their views and commented on the overall performances of the speakers. The Inter-house trophy was given to the Sapphire house.
