Karate Championship


The first Invitational Karate Championship was hosted on 28th February, 2015 at VPMS Lohegaon. The Karate Instructor Sensei Kailash Lohar initiated and organized the event on behalf of the International Japan Karate Association of India.

The schools who participated in the championship were Army Public School –Dighi, Mount St Patrick Academy – Lohegaon, Lexicon International, St Francis De Seles Vadgaonsheri, and Bishop’s Co Ed school- Kalyaninagar. The event was officially judged by Sensei Kailash Lohar, Sensei Parusharam Kunjakar, Sensei Harjit Singh Purab, Sensei Amol Peda, Sensei Arjun Sakekar, Sensei Deepak Kagar and Sensei Sagar Navley. The event was conducted in two rings simultaneously.

The winners were awarded with a certificate and a medal after each age category was held. All the students received participation certificates.

Vikhe Patil Memorial School, Lohegaon stood first with 11 gold medals, 8 silver and 13 bronze.

Army Public School Dighi secured the second place with 3 gold, 2 silver and 6 bronze.

Mount St Patrick Academy Lohegaon were the third with 2 gold, 3silver and bronze.
