Founder’s Day Celebrations
Founder’s day is one of the most important events in the school calendar. On Saturday 29th August 2015, Founders’ Day and Rakshabandhan were celebrated at VPMS Lohegaon.
The programs for the day started with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the Principal. The students of Std V singing a beautiful prayer song. The students of Std VIII and IX performed a play depicting the life and struggles of Padmashree Dr. Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil, the play beautifully depicted his efforts for the society and his vision for the poor farmers and the women population at large. The importance of Rakshabandhan and how it is celebrated across the country was also explained by Nidhi Suryavanshi of STD X.
The students of Std. I to V proceeded to their respective classes for the various activities that were planned for the day. The students of Std. VI and VII had an inter-house advertisement competition, the topic was Agriculture. Std VIII and IX participated in an inter-house debate competition where the children spoke beautifully and expressed their views in a confident and convincing manner.
The Judges were impressed with the performance of our students and appreciated them for the same.
Thereafter the Principal announced the winners of the competitions.
The programs for the day were concluded with the vote of thanks by the Head Girl Nidhi Suryavanshi followed by the National Anthem.
