Founder’s Day at VPMS Lohegaon
The students of VPMS celebrated the Founder’s Day on Wednesday 17th August 2016. The Children participated in a Dance and Singing competition on the topic ‘India’s Freedom Movement’. The judges for the competition were Ms. Shirley Manuel, Mrs. Tanuja and Mrs. Suchismitha Mishra.
The day began with the welcoming of the judges and our Principal Mrs. Mrinalini Bhosale. The Thought for the day was given by Anirudhha and the News was announced by Beaulah, both from the IXth. Shashwat Ratna delivered a speech on our Founder Padmashri Dr. Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil, delving on his social contribution to the field of education The first program of the day was the Inter House Dance Competition in which the students of the Std I to III took part. The children looked lovely in their colorful costumes. Their patriotic fervor was clearly on display with all the flags they carried and some even had their faces painted to add to the festive spirit. Their excitement was visible in the way they performed all the dances, full of enthusiasm. The children of the Coral house performed very well in the dance competition.
The next program on the schedule was the Inter house Singing Competition for the students of Std IV to X. All houses gave it their best with the Ruby House clearly standing out. Many of the old patriotic songs brought the audience a sense of nostalgia.
. The final and most awaited moment arrived with the announcement of the winners of the competitions. Everyone held their breath while the winners were announced. It was the Ruby House. There was much celebration as the students and their House Incharges came forward to accept the Trophy.
Finally, Shashwat Ratna delivered a speech on our Founder Padmashri Dr. Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil, delving on his social contribution to the field of education. The Vote of Thanks was then given by K. Akila and the function was brought to a close.
