Farewell to Std. X
On 6th February 2016, VPMS Lohegaon held the first farewell program for the students of Std X, the first batch to exit our school. The members of the Management committee were the chief guests. The students arrived with their parents.
For the formal part of the program, the four office-bearers, Akash Chettiyar, Nidhi Suryavanshi, Anay Mulik and Saloni Kullar, spoke about their journey in the school; they thanked the teachers and wished luck to their fellow classmates as well as the students of STD IX. Dr. Ashok Vikhe Patil the Chairman, Mrs. Mrinalini Bhosale Principal VPMS Lohegaon, and the class teacher STD X Mrs. Snigdha Dey and Mrs. Swapna Nair the Secondary section coordinator also spoke about their experiences with the class, and shared words of wisdom for their future. We also had the honour of Mr. Kochery and Mr. Suryavanshi our parents, share their experiences with the school. The students of STD X presented a wall clock to the school.
After that, the parents left, leaving us to get on with the rest of the program. The students of STD X were in for a pleasant surprise, as the host class geared up for the informal part of the program. The comperes for the evening were Rusali Saha and Arpana Das of STD IX students. There were three poems read out after which each student was presented a rose. There were two skits arranged, one which portrayed the career prospects of each one of them, and the other showed a group of friends re-uniting at their old school. Std IX also presented a special song for them, which went along with a Power Point Presentation.
The students of Std X were touched when they were shown recorded videos of two former teachers, Mrs. Nupur Makkar their Class teacher of STD VIII, Mrs. Namarata Saraf their Science teacher and also to an audio recording of their old classmates, Anirudh Gudi. A rampwalk was arranged for the students, followed by presenting them with a memoir in the form of a badge and a coffee mug.
The program wrapped up with a dance session which the students enjoyed thoroughly. The students also gifted teachers with a key holder as a token of appreciation. They also acknowledged the efforts of STD IX and thanked them for the special evening.
Soon after, dinner was served. The evening had been a memorable one for all the students and the teachers. VPMS is truly proud of its first batch of students and wishes them luck for their upcoming exams.
