Children’s Day Celebrations
The children’s day was celebrated with a lot of fun and frolic. The assembly was conducted by the teachers. It began with the prayer. The programme put up by the teachers was very well received and appreciated. As part of activity the second round of the inter house debate was conducted in the seminar hall for the senior classes. The junior section also had a variety of programmes as part of the entertainment programme for the children on this special day. Children were asked to bring gifts on this day to inculcate the value of sharing among them. Which , later were distributed among them. On the whole, the day was celebrated in a meaningful way.
The birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru who was lovingly called as “Chacha Nehru” was celebrated with a lot of fun in Pre-Primary section. Children of Jr. Kg started their day with the dance session on Debbie Doo. After this our loved ones relished the special snacks followed by the movie “Finding Nemo” for which they all were eagerly waiting. After the movie, children participated in “lucky dip” where they choose one gift for themselves. The objective of the activity was to develop life skill of sharing.
Children participated in a handful of activities like singing their favourite songs music with and playing musical chair in the class. They were treated with special snacks and sweets which they enjoyed. The main attraction was the lucky dip game for which they were eager to play and get their gifts. We also informed them that Children’s day was celebrated in India to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru who loved children very much.The excitement and enjoyment of the day made us glorify.
