Little Flower School celebrated 70th Independence Day in a very grand manner in the presence of the Chief Guest Mrs. Nandini, the Joint Secretary of Dr. Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil, Foundation, and Pune. After unfurling the flag, the choir group presented national anthem and the patriotic songs in the most melodious manner and filled each heart with love for the country. The students of different houses like Emerald, Sapphire, Saffron and Ruby demonstrated unity, courage, harmony and faith through their march past. Mast. Atharva Misal of class X focused on the dedication and contribution of the freedom fighters and emphasized the need to keep patriotism ever glowing in each heart. Mast Ved Sapkal of class V highlighted current affairs and mentioned the areas in which the country needs improvement. The student from std. V. Mast Raj Kharde expressed his patriotic feelings by explaining moral duties of the citizens to develop the country. The yoga and pyramid demo, presented by LFS students were wonderful and outstanding.
The principal greeted the students, the staff and the parents on this occasion. The Chief Guest in her address appreciated the students’ performances and motivated them to become good citizens of the country. The programme came to an end with sweet distribution and Vande Mataram.
Little Flower school celebrated ‘Founder’s day on 17th August, 2016 in a very grand manner. The school assembly was followed by the celebration in the gracious presence of the Chief Guest Dr. P.P. Kadu, a renowned professor in the Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri and the Guest of Honour Mr. Kishor Kharde , an agriculture expert of Kolhar. The programme began with lighting of the lamp and garlanding the portrait of Padmashri Dr.Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil. The Guest of honour spoke about the great work of Padmashri and modern farming technology. The Chief Guest, Mr. P.P Kadu explained the students how farming is an important profession and the scope of career in it. To make this day more memorable different activities were conducted for students of each class such as fancy dress, hand writing, role play, poster making, colour filling, drawing on farmers day , group discussion etc. Students enjoyed the activities a lot.
